I notice something very peculiar in the photo of the G.Gr. Nr.3 figure. Check out the Litzen on the cuff: there does not appear to be a panel (Patten?), i.e., the Litzen appear to be sewn directly on the cuff. Especially noticeable in the case of the second (middle) Litzen.

I strongly suspect that the bandolier-ribbon he is wearing over his right shoulder is not "regulation," but rather, displays the colours of his student corporation (Korps, Burschenschaft, Verein, etc.).
