Hi Poniatovski, My roots are in NRW too.. i come from Düsseldorf.. butsince 1982 i live in lower Saxony.. in the Elbe Weser Triangle.. a small city called Bremervörde. I Spend my 12 years military duty here and after that time i stuck here :D

This is my Grandpa Gustav.. He fought in WW1 with the Infanterieregiment Nr 16 "Freiherr von Sparr".. In 1914 he was heavily wounded in France (shot in the face).. nearly one year he was in the hospital.. and.... after that he was in duty again!.. wounded second time at Verdun and after that he...

@ Sandy.. I think it is his little brother... both Grandpas fought in WW 1... for this he seems too young... @ aicusv.. unfortunately not... but i will search.. maybe i will find something.... i think it was Infanterieregiment 91 Oldenburg.. but i am not sure

Ah.. for sure next time it will be runs better :) And it is not extremely bad.. it was a Pickelhaube.. then it changed duty and later she was „reactivated“ :D I will see that i will get the proper items for her and make a M15 again....

The second Pickelhaube has arrived... And you all were right... You can see clearly the imprint of the Kamm or Ziegelbrecher. The rear spine is broken off at the bottom, the visor trim is silver.. There are some stamps they i cant´t read.. inside is one dated 1916
