Issued Saxon Model 92 Cavalry Saber

It looks like Roman numeral II. So maybe the 2nd Saxon Hussar Regt, which would be number 19 in the German Army.

Issued Saxon Model 92 Cavalry Saber

$163 was a steal! The unit mark is for one of the Saxon Hussar Regiments. The 3.68 is usually the squadron and weapon number. The Regiment number usually is before the unit type (RH in this case, Reseve Hussar)

Issued Saxon Model 92 Cavalry Saber

In 1884 the Saxon 1867 Cavalry saber (similar to Prussian M52) was given a quillback blade that I think was the same type blade that the KD92 used. I think that they re-used these quillback model 67 blades when they first started making the Model 92s.

Baden style gift saber - Help with officer ID

This sword and another one I have both have ""M Neumann Hoflieferant Berlin" etched on the spine and both have the same mark on the ricasso (maker's mark or possibly a master's mark). The mark appears to read "DS", with possibly another letter (O or V) between them. They are both high quality...

Baden style gift saber - Help with officer ID

This is a very fancy saber with a Baden infantry officer style guard and an impressive Damascus steel blade. The sword was a gift from one officer to another, the names are engrave on the blade. Honsell s/l Dänzer. I'm assuming they were wealthy officers in one of the Baden regiments (maybe...
