    More or less, yes. You can't tell if the feldzeichen (or the chinstrap,....) came with the helmet for sure....and what about the prussian cocarde; ...did the original owner wear it against regulations or was it added by a previous owner, not aware it shouldn't be there... Lets say; it is a nice...

    Silver (color) and gold /brass color are ment to show wich army branche they are attached to.

    A very good helmet to start with if you are married or engaged. They are not that expensive and as said, very decorative. Women generaly like them too, and would even allow them in the living room.

    I like that definition! It is indeed, in a way. Also holding the middle, or should I say the link, of the modern times and the medieval periode I find facinating and collecting as well.

    Thise one was sold, after the loss of my wife... along with great parts of the collection, the house and some other belongings of us. But got a other one, yesterday, here in France. I am using the sellers pic, still recovering of the trip to fetch it....
