    Weird spike and base

    This one just came in on a total parts helmet, 75% of helmet was fake. I truly believe this spike and base to be modern made as well, just never seen anyone put this much work into a repo piece. Heavy brass, I mean heavy. Screw on spike to the base? Anyone seen this before? James

    I am a little late to this thread as I was gone this weekend. I have a privilege of owning an original Newspaper photograph (11x14 inches) of the classic well known Pickelhaube pyramid and have picked up other pics along the way as well as a shot of a man showing how he put them on the pyramid...

    Ok guy's I am not big on shoulder straps, but these just came in! Best I can figure using my friend Michael Kelso's great book "Under Arms of the Kaiser" is they are Wurttemberg IR Konig Wilhelm I shoulder boards, possibly Musketier?? Interesting two different shade of Navy on back, so maybe...
