    They weren't overstating. It's only brewed (and thus sold) in limited amounts. Just to cover the expenses and costs/renovations of the abbey. They're not allowed to make a profit. Best chance to buy one is to drive to the shop right next to the abbey. It's almost never available in a regular bar...

    It always baffles me how even so long ago, they could make such sharp and detailed photographs. Both the studio portrait and the grouppicture are really great photos!

    Thank you for the nice comments. Here some better pictures of my 2 Stahlhelme (I have only two of them). The left one is a M16, size 62 made by Gebrüder Gnüchtel A.G., Lauter in Sachsen. It has some kind of earlier type, experimental camo I would say. Just strokes of brownish-yellow all around...

    It was indeed used only a short period of time because it was unreliable. More often than not they wouldn't explode. All of these are split in two I see. Would that have been some weird way of making them harmless or did they explode like that? I have a no.15 and no.16 laying around somewhere...
