    New purchase

I agree. Gold and red. They are often shown in yellow and red, but I don't think I've ever seen a real one in yellow. John

    1915 Prussian Pioneer

Beautiful condition. Looks unissued. I believe that the chinstrap is period but added later. I have several M15's where the black has worn away on the chinstrap. Especially common on felts it seems. Congratulations. John

Very rare! One of a kind! It's sort of a cross between a Pickelhaube and a baseball cap. John

    Saxon EM R.104

f = feldbrauchbar --> could be worn back in the field. It would be a small "f", similar to what is pictured, but upside down from the other stamp. Just a thought. This helmet looks to be in too good of a condition to bear this stamp. John

Does Anybody Else Collect Headgear Sets?

My latest set: Prussian M95 with Mütze. The Mütze is well marked: The rank shown is a bit unusual: Handwerker is the rank shown on the label. I am not sure what this is. It could mean artisan, so he could have been a baker, armorer, cobbler, or other tradesman. Handwerker; however...
