Thats one you don't see every day I just love those rare ersatz helmets I have similar one but on mine the fiber visors are sewn on the felt body instead on the use of rivets You have found one i also would like to ad to the collection Jonas

Not yet have come up with a plousible explanation for it but in my opnion ,those cardboard or papier mache helmets are far to weak to not have the counterdisc on the inside . the splitpins can rip out so easely ,the counterdisc is there to prevent this in the first place . when they where...

Cant say if anything is fake to this one It looks al good to me including the eagle One thing that looks a bit funny is the schubbekette hangs on one side lower than on the other or it could be the foult on the angle of the picture
