World War One Officer's Cap Of Jaeger Bataillon Nr. 7.

It's a lovely cap. I sold it to Steve at the Etobicoke show a couple of years ago in a moment of madness. I'm glad it found a good home. Hans

The Square Dip is a very nice example. Does it have a lot# letter/number combination stamped into the dome interior?

Congratulations on your M15 Clovis 57. I would have killed for a German helmet when I was a kid. Any German helmet. Nobody that I knew had one.

    M1892 RIR 17 stenciled Cover

    M1892 RIR 17 stenciled Cover

This is demonstrably my earliest Pickelhaube cover, the earliest stamped date being 1893. It's an early (M1892 ?) pre-war issue cover of the type with front seam, 4 hooks and solid spike. It was Regimentally stenciled to RIR probably in 1914 during Mobilization. All comments and opinions...

    M15 Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 7

Thank you Lars for that information about painted Feldzeichen. I had never seen one up until this example and would never have thought that this was practiced pre-war. The pictures are wonderful. Thank you all for the comments. What struck me about the Shako when I first saw it was how...
