Hi Sorry Joe, I don't collect these plates.....

    Austro-Hungarian Army

Hi Gus The 3 shown in the previous post are probably repros... Below are some "official" repros: I think that only the buckles marked with the name of the producer would be genuine now. The copies are very good, but not stamped.

    Kürassier model 1862 OFF

Hi, Just a view of this typical steel helmet in its Off version. The cocarde seems to be in leather with a metal silver ring. I don't see if the crown of the plate is avoided.

    Austro-Hungarian Army

Hi I just want to add that all Austro-Hungarian brass belt buckles are copied. Copies are sold in the Military Museum in Vienna (about 15-20€) as well as in all flea markets. Often they have been aged and wear a nice but fake patina.

    Austro-Hungarian Army

Hi Gus For me, the first one is the one in the left upper corner. The second is the one below (sometimes called: Royal Hungarian Landwehr) The third one is plane indeed.

    Fake?!

Hi Ludwig I would not bid on it. It remembers me some British repros. The Kockade are repros, the spike is not nice, rivets are unknown.

    hessian

Hi JR92, very nice collection....again Regarding the rust on the spike, I agree, it is different patina far from the plate's one, but I like the shell and the space between the gromets.

    Old helmet to firemen's helmet

Hi It was a nice ART helmet. In France, the majority of old Cuirassiers and Dragoons helmets (model 1830, 1840, 1845,...) were officially re issued by the firemen and then modified. Currently, they are modified in the other way, cleaned, re equipped with new pices and sold as Cuirassiers...

Hi Joe I know 2 types of officers reproductions (including 1 from Kalmmerbulle.de). But I have not seen repros of OR's yet.
