I believe a grouping with 3 of these small Pickelhauben were sold at the auction in Waver last month. The price didn't went that high either if I recall correctly.

Dragoner Regiment 11 mod. 1860 pickelhaube - untouched condition

This is really cool and unexpected to find over 80 years after the area came to Poland for good. You should look for an accompanying helmet again. Would make a great display! :)

    "Festungs-Pionier Bataillon Nr. 23" Pickelhaube

That is a great looking helmet! I love the light color of the liner. The helmets of Philippe are very nice as well. I love their markings, especially on the felt helmet because that's not that common. The former eastern territories are indeed an intruiging piece of history. I believe there are...

    M16 K64 Double Camo

Very beautiful pattern indeed. I like the Black lines which are somewhat rounded and thicker at the "intersections". Also always a nice detail when the vent holes are plugged imo.

Why Do I Collect this Stuff ?

The last time I checked we're all humans with our normal human behaviours. To a certain degree everyone likes buying or having stuff. A nice car, a room filled with clothes of which half you barely wear, a home with a garden and room for a pony, a wife, a motorcycle or an attic filled with...

    Pieces from the auction

Thanks Sander. It indeed still has vivid colors. And no interference with moths over the years thankfully. :)

    Pieces from the auction

And here the cuirass. Nicely marked. Back plate 1875, front plate 1869. The helmet I bought last year. The berthier musqueton I've had for over 10 years I think. This is a modell 1892 made in 1894. All numbers matching including bolt and stock and with original sling. Note that there is a rare...

    Pieces from the auction

Here some pieces I was able to acquire at the auction last weekend. I know our fellow member "stuka f" sold a lot of the listed items but I'm not sure they were all part of his big collection. On saturday it was all French stuff and on sunday German (and some British and US too). I was only...

Brotherhood the cloth covered Ersatz helmets

It's mind boggling that you can forget you have double the amount of helmets than you thought you had. Amazing helmets anyway. It would make an amazing museum I'm sure.

Look who is coming to visit me

I indeed bought the cuirass and also a French tunic (1+1=2 you would think) but it's not the cuirassier tunic unfortunately. :( I had the highest bid on a nice képi M1884 (which I had been looking for for quite some time) and their was a tunic of the same regiment which I was able to buy as well.

If it would have been in Europe, I'd bought it from you. It's a nice looking helmet with a fair price.

Look who is coming to visit me

Anyone here bought something? I bid on 2 Hauben upfront cause I did not had time today but did not got them. Luckily yesterday I was able to be at the auction in person and bought the pieces I wanted the most and already have them at home. So I'm a happy man. :)

The Most Common Pickelhaube: The Prussian Model 1915

Are there other dukedoms/kingdoms with only 1 regiment? And can they all be considered just as rare or are there differences among them?
