What a knock-out! It is now as beautiful as it was 150 years ago!

It strikes me an an original Busby frame, but it likely had hair shed or damage to the outside. A prior owner looks to have replaced it with black wool? Passing for a theatric production, but not for collecting.

There is another seller out of the UK selling extremely similar cockades, listed as original, and they just all happen to be from desirable states!

Any of these old pattern Pickelhaubes, regardless of country, are worthy of collecting and preservation. Beautiful! My wife, who is part Swedish, would love it.
