It's solid brass. I'm going to post it in 'latest find' to see if anybody has more insight. It's slightly different than other veteran 'parade' helmets I've seen. Ron

That's what I thought. Postage cost more than the helmet! Well, it's an interesting piece. Maybe I can figure something out once it arrives.

This one interested me. As you can see, it's a brass 'doughboy' helmet. It hasn't arrived yet, but they said it's full size. Would this be for a veteran's organization, like the aluminum versions? I've never seen a brass one before. $10 so, what th' heck. Any insights?

I don't know what Meck. wappens go for either. The shell looks like it's cracked on the left side and is pretty dirty. You never know when parts will come up for sale (is the back spine present?). If I were looking at this and it was a reasonable price I'd probably buy it. Unless there are some...

I'll post a photo. Just doing the rigging as they'd have in port. Interesting boats. Like the WWI airplane, the emergent technology is both modern and traditional.
