Hi Josh, What about the survival rates of these helmets? The M18 cut-out for example you have as "extremely rare", yet in the Reichswehr they seem to have been quite abundant. I don't think we can look at production numbers alone, and would the model have an impact on the relative scarcity too...

Hi Max, Leather typically can shrink significantly, and a visor with a trim that seems oversized is quite common, and can absolutely be original. The trim in your front visor seems to belong to the helmet both in shape, size and patina, and I would not change it out. Imo you would be changing...
