Very nice display! Seems that putting a collection in glass cases makes a display look better. An English phrase or “saying” for that is to “kick it up a notch” Acquiring a Preussen Cuirass can be a once-in-a-lifetime purchase.

The ventilation holes on the top of the shell are particularly interesting. A keeper photo, thank you.

Unfortunately many Collectors hold a helmet by the spike. That is absolutely the worst way to pick up a helmet. One minute you’re holding a compete helmet by the spike, the next minute you are holding only the spike as the helmet bounces off the floor.

My opinion is that the best way to display a helmet is with an appropriate shoulder strap, or shoulder board for officers. This looks great Peter but be warned……One strap can turn into 100….

Ron it is your lucky day. On a Hessen helmet here, I don’t trust the officer Kokarde. I would rather have none than have a copy. Which means I’m still looking for an issue pattern Hessen Kokarde. If you like, I can mail it to you. Consider it a gift from Canada no cost.
