    The M1843 Pattern: made in 1851. "V" for the 1st Cuirassier Regiment. "V*" for the 2nd Cuirassier Regiment. Disbanded in 1863. -These two Cuirassier Regiments became the 3rd and 4th Lancers Regiment. -Cheaper...Lighter and smaller horses and troopers.
