    Allied Trench Watch

Very nice! I also have 2 trench watches here in my collection, both are in full working order too. One is German, with a DH marking on the back (Deutches Heer), the other one is US made, with a protective metal cover on the front, with several round holes in it, so you can still see the time...

    Pickelhaube real or fake.

That's a fake. Spike is wrong, hinterschiene is wrong, wappen is a copy, a bad one, liner isn't good. Let it pass you by, and save up for a nice one, this isn't even near that. Regards, Coert.

    Steve McFarland

I hope one off the staff members will also post this whole topic about Steve's passing to the Memorium section of the forum, so new members here can also see forever what Steve was to us all here. His legacy here must never be forgotten.

    Steve McFarland

I sure hope so too, but knowing how Steve was, with all his posts, and above all helping other members, including me when I started collecting haubes, his posts wil be here forever. Steve was truly, as he stated, a Tennessee gentleman. Alway's helpful, and full of knowledge.

    1968 Helmet Book

Well, the one on the right page, which it states as a Rumania combat helmet is indeed a Dutch helmet.

    Helping a friend

Well Dane, I'm no expert on these helmets, but the spike base retainerplate, (on the inside), looks to have extra holes to fit the spike on it. To me, that retainer plate looks to be off a military haube. Kokarde is a replica, and the rear spine is, in my opinion, also from a military haube, as...

    Concealed weapon

You mean those drug's trafficers Thierry? Sometimes this goes wrong when the condom is affected by fluids in the stomach, and break as a result. Those guy's usually do not survive this.

    Concealed weapon

That was in the news here too. A 3,7cm shell, but it was stated to be 20cm's, so the guy had it, including the shell casing inside his rectum. I have 2 of those little shells, including they're casings here in my collection, all inert off-course, but the 20 cm's are correct. The diameter of the...

Yes, I sure am. If you want to let it go, let me know, I might just buy it from you. It might be a nice addition to my IR74 enlisted helmet. Regards, Coert.

    Officer pickelhaube 92Rgt Brunswick

They are great! Is there a regimental marking on the one with the Waterloo bandeau? I have an other ranks IR74 M95 in my collection. One of the 5 regiments which had the Waterloo bandeau. (I know officers helmet usually have no regimental stamps, as they were private purchased)

    Officer pickelhaube 92Rgt Brunswick

Hi Gary, I fully understand your opinion on this, but you know, I feel, and see it just like Amy does. I have no knowledge about these Brunswick helmets, so I didn't react. I do love them, but these are just too expensive for a working guy like me. And so I collect M15 and M95 enlisted helmets...

Well, at the Western Front Association NL we have a socalled Book of the faces of their members. It might be possible here too. Then again, I do not think most members would like to see my ugly mug though. :ROFLMAO:
