Then again, there is still the Militaria event in Houten, this 14th of June, I will be visiting that one again. There will be nice WW1 German items there, including pickelhauben.

Mostly only WW2 items for sale, lots of books too though, also WW1 related ones.

Great photo's! I went to the first Militracks events, I could have bought a Oldenburg M15 there, but it was 750€ back then, and I didn't have enought money on me that day, bought a Prussian M15 instead. I should have known better then... I never saw one for sale after that, at least not for...

I agree with Tony on this. I also have a nice JzP, a nice one, worn but in full order, it has some nice patina to it. Liner okay, correct original chinstrap, kokarden fine, and most of all, the correct larger spike. It has the "been there" look over it. I prefer the in good condition being ones...

Great books Francis! I do not have the Fieldgrey set in my reference library, yet. I do however also have that vorsicht bei gesprachen thing too here, but then mine say's Achtung, Feind hört mit, Nach gesprach 3x ablauten. Which was alway's fitted to ww2 bunker phones.

In fact, Johan also produced a 3 volume set, Imperial German Field Uniforms and Equipment 1907- 1918, which was printed by Schiffer Military History, years ago. These are good books too! But produced quite a while ago, maybe you can search for those 3 volumes too, also great books! Regards, Coert.
