I only have a Saxon M15 which fits me. It is large! Then again, I do not wear it. It is on display next to my other M15's.

These are highly recommended reference books! If I didn't already have them, volume 1 to 9, I'd be a buyer.

These are 3 of them, Droppie, Nero and Salino. The other one, Bounty, who is completely white, is sleeping in his favourite cardboard box in the kitchen. They all live the good life here. ;)

As usual only a daytrip, I have 4 cats at home, I can't let them go without food for longer than that, the servant, me, must be present in the evening.

In those day's I visited the Canada fairs also, bought nice items there too. A shame those fairs aren't there anymore though..

I can understand that John. For me it is a 2hours drive in my car to get to Ypres, the Somme will take longer, just like Verdun.

I know, I already visited that museum many times before, now a young couple are in charge there. Excellent display's! The first time I visited it was in 1991, years ago, the last time was in 2012. But I sure will go there again. :) 👍

I saw several picture 's of the same ventilation system in the books by Michael Baldwin all were in the ostasiatische area, if.my memory serves me right. I no longer have those books anymore, gave them away to a starting collector years ago.

Well my friend, when I first started collecting pickelhauben, I also made the same mistakes as you did. Thougt my haubes were great, but they were bogus. But I stayed on, and learned from my mistakes.Like you did. You did the good thing joining us here. We are all collectors, and we will help...

I agree with you, I saw the Friesé collection at Fort de la Pompelle for the first time in 1991, I really liked it that way better than it is now.

Well, this book is on its way to me, so another great reference book, from Verlag Militaria. Only 2 were in stock, so I ordered it fast. I just looked, but now all have been sold. They can still be backordered though.
