regarding originality, I don't know, but combination of square visor and rounded chin scales would suggest cavalry officer, ec dragoon, but it does not have a dragoon wappen (plate), so combination seems odd to me

Of course this helmets are dream pieces for all of us, years ago I refrained from buying one from a very known dealer because of advice given by forum members, especially Adler ( Karel), they were right, it was not good… I think only a tiny percentage of these helmets are genuine, only buy one...

Not as impressive, but I always was fascinated by prehistoric times, trilobites and ammonites, looking a those beautiful creatures you are looking hundreds of millions back in time, the dinosaurs are recent creatures in comparison, so have some of those too

Did you not show some prehistoric skeleton once? A sabletooth tiger skull? Or was that someone else? Anyway though it was impressive

I never visited the Vornholz museum, but I know people who did and they told me the collection is / was amazing, both dunked blau and feldgrau. And being a great fan of german imperial cavalry , I agree that the offered items are " high end" indeed!, and I wondered before (like Bobted) if...

I visited targette few years ago, very old school in a nice way, small door, and ticked counter, in plywood, nothing professional, and got the impression only few people visit it, because I was alone in the building , they even had to switch on the lights for me, (but maybe I was in low season?)...
