I own this book, Never on display is not right. Last year i took these pictures on the living history weekend. Only to see that weekend and i hope this year in May too.

It is M1852/79 Kavalerie sabre but not for officer's. It is the one for enlisted men, private purchaised. Train battaillon.The differens to officer is Drahtwicklung. Don’t know how that is called in english. Never used by Kurassier.

The painting shows russian cuirassiers. Only one prussian Regiment had black cuirasses. The Garde du Corps and only for the spring parade.

A wonderfull helmet. I search myself for such one. Officers helmet or enlisted man's helmet? A gilded front plate and the Kokarde made of silk, instead of wool, are the things make the difference. So your helmet and Dragoner08`s also, are officers helmets. Something to these helmets in german...

Most buildings are still there, used by the polish Police and not possible to visit. I have been there last sommer.

If from belgian, then only from a private Museum. A Museum like Sanctuary Wood Museum (Hill 62). I remember a lot of fakes in the exibition and many put together helmets.
