    Real or Fake?

Welcome to the forum Jenny! As you can see, we are friendly if not odd bunch of pickelhaube aficionados. Your uncle must have had a very special place in his heart for you. I surmise he was a Belgian pilot during the end of WW2 or shortly thereafter. The Kurassier Helmet and cuirass are to...

    Garde du Corps

Be very careful folks. Apart from what Amy pointed out, both of those chickens have been re-soldered to the legs or at least appear that way from the photos.

    Kube Auction

In the US and received my invoice. Usually, it takes Kube about a week and change to generate invoices. Check your Spam mail. There is also a possibility you and another buyer put in the same amount for a bid. Not sure how he handles ties.

    Tunic KR2?

Pawel, This is a waffenrock to the KR2 or KR4. It I almost impossible to know exactly because of the slight variations in shades of red. Since Officers clothing was all purchased individually there could be different shades of the same color in the same regiment. You should look for slip on...

Opinions Needed! Side Cap for Leib-Gendarmerie

Both illustrations show a chinstrap being used. Does this sidecap have any provisions for a chinstrap? I would definitely black light that white stitching in the interior of the cap.

    GDC helmet

You should ask for a lot more photos if you plan on purchasing this helmet. Ask for closeups of the Kammer stamps and the interior. You will also want side pictures and closeups of the eagle.

    Please rate the originality.

That is a correct private purchase French made sidecap. Looks a little thin on the outside but the inside looks brand new.

    Luftgekühlt Maschinen Gewehr 08/15

Very nice photo! In my opinion that's the armory where the photo was taken. As you can see that the LMG is missing it's top cover, feed block, barrel, and rear cover. If you also look at the soldier/airman on the left you can make out an MG-08 barrel cleaning tool hanging from the rack. Here...

Folks, May I present something you probably may not have ever seen or will ever see again in a set of groupings. A completely new wappen and shoulderstraps to the same unit in the span of 15 years. On the left, we have a pre- January 24th 1899 Helmet and Waffenrock to a Sergeant in DR9 On the...
