I just acquired this set of silver chinscales with brass rosettes. They measure about 55 cm. One side is separated. Is there an easy way to repair or should this be turned over to a specialist?

Of course, this could be assembled by a collector or theater or as a war bond piece. My question is, where does the guard star in this size come from? Hussar?

This turned up. I haven't seen it yet in person and only have the photos. I can't find any reference with this arrangement of an Ersatz metal Pickelhaube with chinscales, guard star, line eagle and reserve cross. Cockades are Prussian enlisted type. Any thoughts? War bond composite or something...
