Just acquired this and would welcome opinions as to authenticity. Body is heavily lacquered leather in great condition; cockades likely replacements and not sure about chinstrap. Interior leather shows some wear. Wappen only attached with two leather straps & a bit loose. I will let photos...

First, apologies for being unable to link a website; it is BayState Militaria in Massachusetts. Just listed is a Garde officer's pickelhaube that was apparently stored poorly, with items on top of it pushing down on to the spike & base to where the surrounding leather appears to have collapsed...

I picked up these two caps at this year's SOS. The dragoon officer cap is for either of the two Garde regiments, or the 1st, 5th, or 13th line Prussian regiments. The nco's cap is for the 3rd Hussars.

I believe this is a rare schirmmutze, issued to the Bavarian Leibgarde der Hartschiere, the King's ceremonial guard. This unit, formed in 1669, consisted of a total of 107 men, all ranks.
