Does anyone have a period photo of an MG steel helmet actually being worn? Was this used 1916-1918 or post war/Freikorps design? I’ve seen different versions of this hand painted MG design, but I’ve never seen a period photo of it in use. Thanks

Jaegers transporting their horses across the river....guess who pulled the short straws? Looks like lances and perhaps saddlery are also in the boat.
