I added pics of the inside. Leather has deteriorated. Looks like a number (possibly 99) stamped on the inside.

That's how it was given to me, but I can see how you can unscrew the bottom plate attached to the vent and turn it.

I'll keep you in mind should I decide to part with it. I haven't decided if I want to restore it as I don't want to ruin it.
