I posted the photo a couple of days ago. These are the enlisted man's items from this Regiment that I've managed to collect thus far. There are examples of them all in the photograph (except cartridge case emblem). Enjoy!
Cheers! Bob

Wow! Nicely done Bob! :bravo:

That Säbeltasche looks very much like the one I used to own. The Schwalbennester must be on black yes?

Thanks Tony. Yes, the backing of the "Swallow's nests" are black. I think the gold braid on those is the guard pattern. Cheers!

Umm.. perhaps you do not realize how unique your Schwalbennester are. That is absolutely not Garde Tresse. That is HR17 Tresse. Here is an image of my 1888 dated Vizewachtmeister (Senior NCO) Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regt. Nr.17 Attila. Look at the unique gold NCO Tresse (braid) which was only worn by Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regt. Nr.17. Examples of this HR17 pattern Tresse are rarely seen. I have never seen a pair of HR17 Schwalbennester before. Congratulations :thumb up:

Thanks Tony! I didn't realize that the tresse was unique. Not a surprise since every other aspect of this Regiment's uniforms were unique. :) That's one of the things that makes collecting stuff from this Regiment so much fun. I love the colorful sabertache's they carried. That's an awesome Atilla!!
Cheers!

I just watched a short video about the origins of the Black Brunswickers, very interesting. https://youtu.be/hFvPrs-8s2Y
