I'll have to clean rust stains recess and sew a few places to prevent the part from deteriorating.
These tunics were worn by belgians as Cameroon, in Rhodesia as well as German East Africa.

Hello Kris,

I got lucky on ebay, 16 € (+ - $ 20)! But no buttons, rust stains, sad.

I think that I 'm not the only one to have this piece in my collection ... I hope. I havn't information about the buttons, but in a pocket, I found six pearl buttons.

I went to see this week at the Royal Army Museum in Brussels, their copy of this tunic, but there wasn't copy in the exhibition.

I normally get a riding canvas trousers to go with this tunic. I found the boots, I am just missing the belt, holster and French helmet "Sugarloaf" (Pain de Sucre) for full field uniform (1914 / Cameroun & Rhodesian campaigns).

Kris, I also have this book, but I never paid attention to the article about medals.

Regards :)

Mick
