The Pickelhaube is a private purchase example, named to Gefreiter Schack of the 2nd Squadron. It recently crossed the Atlantic for minor repairs by our resident Pickelhaube whisperer, who also brought back to life a somewhat dishevelled Garde Fusilier Regiment Pickelhaube.
The waffenrock is also private purchase. It dates from sometime after May 18 1896 when the Regiment was awarded its cypher. I have attached a close up of the shoulder strap for the shoulder strap collectors. I also attach a picture of a waffenrock I owned for about 30 years but ended up trading as I was unable to find the Pickelhaube to go with it - 2nd Grand Ducal Meklenburg Dragoner Regt Nr 18. You will note the very different shade of blue.
..and finally, the Dragoner chart from the Moritz Ruhl series of charts titled Die grauen Felduniformen Dee Deutsche Armee circa 1910.
All the best,
Michael

Thank you for posting your excellent grouping of 2 Garde-Dragoner-Regiment. The helmets are in incredibly well-preserved condition and do justice to the waffenrock, bandolier, and sword.
Best regards,
John
