A high-ranking and well-decorated officer in the 2nd Bavarian Uhlan Regiment. A nice view of the Bavarian uhlan officer's fangschnur, which has open tassles. All other state's Uhlan officer's fangschnurs had closed tassles

I wonder when the photo was taken ?
I notice that there is no parade rabatte on his helmet
Is it a metal top ?
or does it just look that way because the helmet is brand new ?

Due tothat that date I doubt his helmet had a metal top

I wonder what they did with those great uniforms and helmets
when they changed regiments ?
Has anyone ever read or heard about this ?
