Actually Mark, the Bayer. 1. and 2. Schweres Reiter-Regiments wore incredibly plain Waffenrocks. Dunkelblau, with red collar and cuffs. No Litzen or anything funky. Even the straps are plain red. Nice photo though Eric. Take away that saber, and he couldbe Artillerie.

If this Reiter was based in Munich, so he would only belong to the 1st Schweres Reiter Reg., wearing a white Haarbush.
