so I'd need your kind help..:))
102.R = 102nd regiment.
...99 (?) = ?
1.B = first batallion
1898(?) = year of acceptance
4.K= 4th company (?)
I = garniture level number (?)
97= (?)
Really thanks for your help and all my best from Turin

Hello Giorgio,
yes, that's right. 1897, 1898 and 99 are the vintages of reception by the B.A. (clothing store), then downgrading to I trim.

Thanks Clovis....I really appreciate......
Forgive my ignorance...:)
1) I don't undertstand why there're different years of acceptance on the same helm...perhaps because it was returned for some reason, refurbished/repaired and sent back to the regiment?
2) I thought that "I" was the code-number for helmets in perfect order so I don't understand why "downgrading" (am I wrong?...)
3) 4.K stand for 4th companie ?
Again ...really thanks for your time.....:)
Regards
Giorgio
