A pickelhaube in a box

Hey folks,

Just returning from Ypres I have picked up this speciemen. I thought it faitly unusual to find one in a box.

There are no markings inside and condition looks good.

Simon you really don't know if the box has anything to do with this specific helmet. They could have been joined together at any point in the last hundred years. This one has all of the hallmarks of an issued helmet except marks but it has a private purchase rear spine.
