A very rare helmet

this must be a very rare helmet.
Any idea who these guy's are?
I can tell you they are not German.

The helmet is very similar to the British Home Service (Blue Cloth) Helmet, but the uniforms don't look British. Other countries wore a similar helmet so perhaps these men are Dutch.

Nope, not Dutch.
Belgian armed firefighters, who were used as a additional police force.
Helmets look like Belgian mounted Garde Civique, but still different! I have never seen one.

Forgot to mention that thise was not on the whole Belgian territory, just in the town Mechelen( between Antwerp and Brussels).
