Last Saturday afternoon, I paid a visit to MAT also known as Army Outfitters in Toronto Ontario. This is the last militaria store left in Toronto and one of the largest in Canada. The store is owned and operated by Dave Hiorth whom I have know since the eighties when I started collecting. Dave sells worldwide on Ebay and of course locally. Some pictures for our members:

Dave Hiorth store owner.

An excellent Baden M15 and uberzug which is up for auction on Ebay right now.

Very nice marked Arty Regt 44 M15 plus uberzug.

An IR 92 helme which has some issues convex chin scales for starters.

Some nice markings but look at the liner....very puffy around the rim of the shell and not stitched together at the back! The leather thong is also modern. No slider vent on the rear spine and a non standard fastener on the end of it under the rear visor.....probably a modern repro.

Brian, Thanks for posting these photos. Great place! I've noticed this dealer on eBay and have been watching some of his sales. It's cool to see the shop and the man behind the business. Militaria stores with a brick and mortar store front are a vanishing breed, no?
