Man Infantry Regiment "Emperor Frederick, King of Prussia" (7 Württembergisches) no. 125 is a long title. This is a pretty neat service souvenir for a soldier finishing his compulsory active service and going into the reserves. My German has never been the best but I believe the translation is as follows. Please feel free to correct my version.
Called once [to serve] the

Fatherland [may call]us again

as a Reservist

as a Landwehrmann so we legin [National Guard Soldiers we are prepared to]

the work again[Serve again]

and then follow the flag.

Remember your time [of service]

[From] 1909 Musk. = Musketier [Infantryman] Rentschler [to] 1911
Besides the picture of Musketier Rentschler the shoulder board and company button make this a unique item.

Well three years later, Rentschler would have received “the call to arms”, I wonder if he survived the War? A very nice addition to your collection!

Brian, I'm attempting to research him. However, the number of Rentschler's on ancestry is pretty extensive. It will be a project that may take a while.
