Another cheap book

I'm not doing a good job convincing anybody that my taste in books is good however, this one is worth looking at and will probably go quite cheap.

There was an entire genre of the service instruction books issued annually. These are private enterprises mostly written by active-duty officers. They came in many denominations from hardback to paperback some with more color lithographs than others. The single most popular one was called Major Menzel's and had a huge circulation at the start of the war. The smaller kingdoms had their own books. This one from Saxony looks good -- lots and lots of facts and drawings in these books. In general -- and I do mean as a generalization -- books closer to 1900 seem to have more pictures. Those printed mid-war can sometimes be very basic -- but then there were deluxe models like this one.

This guy has a more basic model also listed.

Bidding currently is at one cent.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for getting my hopes up, I am high bidder on both books, but that will not last.

By the way, I thought I would mention, I had not seen these until you posted this, and I would not expect any one to hold their bids just because I have bid, it is a public auction, and the only way you can win is to bid.
