what do you gents think of this one
it just has a ink stamp that says
BAXII 1917
no regimental marking or perhaps a munufacturer
witch is a petty
i rather have helmets with great markings in them
butt hell ,one cant have them all

Many M15's are not marked as if captured the enemy could ID the units facing them in the trenches. A good honest piece though, very nice condition.

I'm not trying to speak for anyone, but, I believe the question about the markings has to with the wappen matching the units in the corps. XII appear to have been mainly Saxon units, while VII was West Prussia.

so if a can understate that what joerookery sayd
it schould be VII instead of XII for pruissian
so i wil have a closer look to conferm with what aicusv is metioning
hopefely its not a mixmax of a helmet
i wil get back on the correct stamp [-o<

just went looking at my helmet and with a very close look and puzzeling with light i think i can see VII instead of XII
i olso took of the plate and you clearly see that it always bared the pruisian eagle insread off the sakson sterne
so i am pleased to say that i might be a bit to haesty with my first reading of the bekleidungsambt wen i posted this topic
thanks for the observations gents :thumb up:

Nice helmet and VII corps is indeed consistent with the Prussian wappen.
