Anti-tank rifle

Local Gun Store had a Mauser 1918 anti-tank rifle in house (as a transfer). Huge. 40ish pounds as I hefted it. All matching numbers. Fine condition though finish thin. Imperial cartouches sharp. An "R" on the flat of the stock aft of the receiver heel. Another "R" on the buttstock. 13mm.

Have seen several photos of examples here but never thought I would have the opportunity to hold one.

the closest I have is a T-Gew round with a 50 cal head, we have one of these rifles in our local museum mounted on the wall, I can stand and look at it for ages.

I think it was $12,000 if IRC. There is now a second lesser example in the shop and it is ONLY $10,000 I think.

I just blew my budget on a Webley MKI Navy 455 Auto holster :)

Ouch, he is expecting a bit much I think. I got out bid on one on gunbroker a few years ago, I could only afford to go $1100, it did lack the bolt. It turned out that a neighbor ended up with it and it cost him another $1500 to have a bolt made for it. The last complete one I saw sell went for $3500, but that was about 10 years ago.
