A friend of mine got it from his grandfather. It's no Haube for sure, but does anyone of you experts have a clue?

Any ideas about the market value of such a helmet?

In good condition they seem to run in the $1200-$1500 range.Although I have 2 that I got for less several years ago. But, it's all about condition. The lining is absent and the red felt behind the chinstrap is incorrect. It should be leather. Still, one of my favorite helmets that displays beautifully.
