Any period regulations about Roßarzt /veterinarian Haube?

Hi gentlemen collectors,
does someone of you know if there were strict regulations how a Roßarzt/Veterinär (horse doctor) Pickelhaube had to look?
I am often wondering about such Haubes which are sold on ebay from time to time. There is one at the moment on ebay Germany sold as a Roßarzt/Veterinär Pickelhaube. I was free to post the following picts of it to start a discussion on this forum.
Is the pattern of this helmet really typical for a Preussen veterinarian?
- eagle without bandeau
- mix of squared visor, cruciform spike base and classic Linien-Adler?
- voided chinscales and rosettes
To resume, the same pattern as a prussian dragoon helmet but without typical dragoon plate and instead of it a classic Infanterie-Linien-Adler?
Is that correct?
Note that this one has an old pattern prussian cockade for Offizier and a late pattern Reich cockade with double ring.

Philippe,

the veterinary officials/officers Pickelhaube had a rounded peak and not a square peaked Dragoon helmet. This is from the 1908 Dress Regulations for Prussian Military Officials. With the formation of a corps of Veterinary Officers in 1910, the small silver Beamten eagle was discontinued for those officials who became officers, otherwise the helmet remained the same.

this is from a period illustration from around 1902/1903 and depicts the helmet of the Roßärzte/Oberroßärzte/Korpsroßärzte. The small silver Wappenadler is not shown as it was not worn until introduced by the A.K.O. of 15 May 1905.

It should be noted that the veterinary officials of the reserve were not immediately commissioned in 1910 when the corps of veterinary officers were formed and the first such commissioning of reserve veterinary officials did not occur until 16 June 1911. There were still veterinary officials of the reserve in Prussian service until at least December 1917 and therefore the veterinary Pickelhaube with the Wappenadler would still have been in use until at least then by a small number such officials and recalled retired officials who served during the war.

So with those rounded chinscales, there is essentially no difference between a Train officer Pickelhaube and a Roßärzte/Oberroßärzte/Korpsroßärzte?

it certainly appears so. Interestingly, prior to 1872, the veterinary surgeons (Stabsroßarzt and Roßarzt) wore a Kugelhelm.

But please, which rank of which weapon (Infanterie, Kavallerie) does have worn such a helmet? (picts above).

I could not say who wore the helmet above. I cannot find any reference to that plate worn on a square fronted Pickelhaube.

The photgraph below shows the veterinary officers' pattern helmet as worn by Korpsstabsveterinär Professor Hubert Kösters.
