Baden Landwehr Cavalry

Joe posted some pics of Baden reservist type helmets. I thought that I would add a couple of my Baden Provincial Landwehr Cavalry officer helme. Stubbs shows a black and white pic of one of these on pg 517. His has the usual motto on the bandeau which technically should not be there. Again for new collectors, the motto is on the reservist cross so therefore, the bandeau on the bottom of the wappen should be blank. This one is totally correct and came out of Fort Erie Ontario of all places. Brian

Scarce helmet. VERY nice. I have held this of course, but I was pretty zonked....I think I saw the "Fort Erie" heist on Crime-Stoppers on TV a while back? T

Great example of a scarce helmet. Landwehr cavalry items are often overlooked from imperial discussions.

Otto, Max and I had nothing to do with that one, I am surprized that Brian is running us competition, no wonder he does not want us in Canada.
