Bavarian Tschapka

It is a Silver trimmed Bavarian officer with Rabatte and field badge. Its my first Tschapka. I absolutly love it. I could not have found it without the help of a very good friend.

You know what really gets me about this one besides it being so nice -- how rare must that field badge be? I had a very hard time finding a Prussian one for an officer and yours is in perfect condition! congrats!

Okay in an effort to train an old dog -- I have never had one of these types of helmets and know very little about them but my question is: drumroll drumroll

Why could this not be a Wachtmeister helmet? The cockade kind of throws me. What am I missing? I know so very little even though my wife would like to get one of these. I do understand that the rosettes on Bavarian Chin scales can be hard or impossible to differentiate but I must be missing something. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
