Beamte?

The scales look convex and p. 472 of the Stubbs book (Imperial German Military Officers' Helmets & Head Dress 1871-1918) doesn't say much.

Been watching this one before when it was listed. I have asked around. Most common response is that it is a WWI helmet with a Post WWI veterans association badge attached. otherwise a nice helmet, but in my opinion not a Beamte helmet...

Sorry, but I think that helmet should be buried with it's now deceased owner. The spike base is cracked, a non scalloped leather headband, pronged stars, busted chinscale and asking $1400? Me no likey!!!!
