Belgian WWI hat

Here is a quiet scarce Belgian hat.
Never thought I would find one, and still.
It is payed for, but not yet in my possession. So I am using the sellers pic's.

Never knew Belgians wore this style of cap. It reminds me of the British and Canadian ones. Congratulations!

Don't know the exact date this type of cap was in general wear....
First pic is Luitenant Toudy Michel who died 8 july 1917, near Diksmuide.
Second pic was made in Criel-sur-Mer, 15 november 1916.
