I loved these old Commander McBragg cartoons as a child. Perhaps it was these cartoons that made me the Anglophile that I am today:

We used to get McBragg along with Tennessee Tuxedo. Of course there was Under Dog, George of the Jungle and others with that really crazy sense of humor and word plays.

George of the Jungle and Ape being confronted by a pair of bad guys:

Ape: "George, we have to catch these men!"
George: "Why we have to do that?"
Ape: "Because they're the ruffians!"
George: "You fellows really from Ruffia?"

Super Chicken:

Fred the lion messed up on the Super Chicken potion. Later in the cartoon:

Chicken: "I can see them, thanks to my super vision!"
Fred: "I can see them, I must have super vision too!"
Chicken: "If you had supervision, you wouldn't have messed up on the super sauce!"

Loved it.
