Blue uniforms

These babies stuck around a long time. I know the trainees uses blue uniforms to get use out of the old stocks however these boys have pre war helmets "(mostly) and blue uniforms in 1916. Just an observation.

Maybe blues were used for school by Saxon troops?

Looks that there are 2 M15 helms, fellow 3rd from the left and the chap in the center of the dooway, no?

I have been looking at my series by Osprey and they have a pic taken in 1917 and show a gaurds unit taken POW but the first 4 or 5 rows are all wearing there Dunken Blaue
