Some of you probably already have this book and some maybe dont even know of it. I first started out with the the 2 Band "Die feldgraue Uniformierung des deustschen Heeres 1907 bis 1918" edition 1999 by Jurgen Kraus about a year ago. Great 2 volume set with a vast and detailed knowledge of helmet and uniform. One of the best book sets out there on the subject. All text in german but super informative. I had heard that there was a photo book companion to this set but had not acquired it until now. Its "Die feldgraue Uniformierung des deustschen Heeres 1907 bis 1918 Fotoband" and it is soooo worth it. I have no other book in my collection that even comes close to the amount of period photo references as this one. It is over 700 pages, each page containing 2 to 3 period photos in great detail with high resolution scans and description. The book will set you back about $180 with shipping but like I said there is nothing like it and completely worth it unlike some other books. If you do not have this, you should....

Does it include any photos of felt Tschapkas, or the felt scroll Pickelhauben?

The Fotoband book doesn't cover "scroll helmets" or "felt Tschapkas" as far as photos but the "Die feldgraue Uniformierung des deustschen Heeres 1907 bis 1918" edition 1999 by Jurgen Kraus does cover it as far as written information.
