Camo Stahlhelme

This helmet was purchased from the son of CEF Sapper Irven C. Willsie who brought it back from the battle for the Canal du Nord. Irven told his kids that he had simply picked it up off of the body of a dead German. I was also told that the helmet was frequently worn on Haloween by the younger Willsies. I have used this in the classroom on several occaisions. Put this on someones head, line up the holes, and it becomes obvious that the original owner had the back of his head blown off. Enjoy!!

Very nice, Why don't we start a thread on Camo helmets (with know histories would be great) If we can get some more posts like Brian's, we could stidky the thread and remove unimportant comment posts (like this one) to keep it text book clean.
