S.F.14 for foot artillery
Hi stuk af,
a great set of WW1 German scherenfernrohr! Unusual to see the carry case and accessories too.
This scherenfernrohr was introduced 1913/14 and according to Hans Seeger (grey book P 191 ) was replaced in October 1914 by Scherenfernrohr models S.F.11 and S.F.14.
The S.F. 14 for foot artillery is usually found in refurbished condition and some saw service in WW2. The "original" examples have a simple cross hair reticle and is different to the familiar WW2 S.F.14 Gitterplatte (grid pattern reticle).
The later WW1 scherenfernrohr had longer extension tubes (rabbits ears) than the S.F.14 for foot artillery model.
According to Stew member at the WAF!
